Ann is one of The Daily Telegraph’s Top 20 Great British Adventurers of all time, and has been interviewed by broadcasters including Kirsty Young, Sandi Toksvig, Richard & Judy, Sir David Frost and Sir Trevor McDonald, appearing on numerous Radio and TV chat shows in the UK and abroad.
During the ground-breaking Catlin Arctic Survey, news reports of Ann and her team-mates collecting scientific data on the frozen Arctic Ocean appeared in more than 40 countries. Ann described the expedition for BBC television whilst on the ice at –30°C.
Stories of Ann’s expeditions have appeared in dozens of newspapers including The Times, The Guardian and The Telegraph. She has also been the subject of several in-depth magazine features. Ann has appeared on television programmes on both sides of the Atlantic, including ABC in America, CBC in Canada and ITV in Britain.
Ann’s most memorable media appearance to date was as a guest on her favourite radio programme, Desert Island Discs, where she revealed a penchant for Tchaikovsky, Abba and The Jam.
